Motorola XYBoard has a dim screen?

There aren't that many options for Verizon 4G (which I want because it's the best monthly price I can find)

The only options are the XYBoard 8.2, Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, some older Galaxies, and the iPads
 
Note 10.1 is about to be released. The Tab2 10.1 is a much better choice than either of those you mentioned, or just get an ipad.
 
Something is probably wrong with the display model, my Xyboard 8.2 has a fantastic screen that is very bright. This is coming from a Samsung Fanboy too.

If you want a 8 inch tablet wait for the Note 8, all of the current ones have dated hardware in comparison.
 
Note 10.1 comes out Thursday. Given that we're talking about Verizon here, the Note 8.0 (not released anywhere) may take 6+ months.
