I was in Staples buying that 80GB Maxtor, and looked in their FRS Radio section, and they had 2 T289 Chrome Radios, for $9.90 each.

The_Dude8 clarified, they must be the pig skin ones to be the lower price. Rossman says: Staples SKU 447398

Who knows how many are left floating around, but take a look next time you are in Staples.

Damn I'm gonna have to check my local Staples, glad I haven't done anything with the 6 I paid $29.99 each for at Radio Shack.
 
I already have 2 T6300 from OD for ($50 each w/ free charger through mail), 1 T250 from OD for $5 after MIR...now I have to get these...😎
 
the t-289 with the nfl pig skin is only 9.90, and the one without it, rang up @s 44.99. the pig skin one scan @ 9.90, while the one without scan @ 44.99. good luck finding them.
 
i wish my staples open 24 hrs. i live in southern CA. i saw someone bought the last pigskin one @ my local staples, i was there trying to hunt down the GPS for the laptop for 24.99, but didn't find it., and i asked a staples rep to scan the regular t-289, and it came up as regular price 44.99.

Just called 1-800-3-STAPLE option 1 because I didn't want to alert the local Staples vultures, gave the lady the UPC and she provided me with the above mentioned SKU which is for a Motorola T289 FRS Radio and she confirmed it is only $9.90 however the entire state of Oregon is out of stock, there's none to be found 🙁

Guess I'll have to stick with my Radio Shack $10 after rebate T289's.
