Does your phone turn off if you shut it too hard? I have to shut mine extremely gently otherwise the phone just cuts off completely. It's not hitting the power button either, because it just shuts straight off without playing the "goodbye tune" or anything. :( Post your experiences.

So far my phone has been pretty good. I haven't had the problem of it shutting off when I close it but it has had a few minor glitches. I was going to take it back and have them service it while it was under warranty but it's been almost a year since I bought it and it's problems aren't that severe.

Have you tried updating your software?

It's probably jarring the battery loose. Try wedging somthing (like a folded piece of paper) in the casing against the battery so that it's in there firmly. II had a load of problems with my t720...I really hated that phone.

Never had that problem with mine. I did have a problem with the phone crashing if I was talking with the headset plugged in. So glad I got away from that phone (and AT&T Wireless).

I hate the T720 but no I haven't had the problem you just mentioned. BTW if you are with verizon there is a software upgrade available for T720. The software is same as T730.

The T720 is the worst phone I have ever seen.

I have never encountered a phone that I saw returned so many times; or had such a horrible reputation with techs. I know 3 people that have them (one being my girlfriend) and they CONSTANTLY turn off, don't ring, crash, make odd noises while talking, have short battery life, etc. for NO REASON. Even after the newest software upgrade they are still HORRIBLE.

My wife is on her 3rd replacement T720, they've all had different problems.

It's been the worst as far as reliability of any cell we've owned.

It is supposed to fix lot of freezing problems with T720. Keyword here is fix a lot but not eliminate them so take that for what its worth.

It gives you some animated icons and stuff so you can do EMS(enhanced messaging) you can send people funny animations and sounds. You can also send a voice text message.

also a fully charged battery is supposed to last longer after this update.

But then again all this stuff has been promised before and not delivered so see what you get out this update. It will take 45mins for them to update your phone.

wow dude, thanks a lot, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. I am going to go stick a piece of paper in there now.

yeah the T720 has been known to cause a good # of users a lot of problems. Too bad too, because it looks like a pretty nice phone and it's cheap. 3 of my friends have them, one of my friends has a T730 (apparently a less buggy 720 or something) and he still has the same problems that 720 users have

Yeah, I went through 3 of them. Not only does it have a ton of problems, it's cheaply made as well. The paint rubs off the cheap plastic, it creaks when you squeeze it or shut it, and it just doesn't feel solid. Total POS.
