Looking to sign up for time warner's 15 down/2 up for right now. But I want to be future proof. Which modem should I get? Thier website lists the 6183 for the 100-300 speeds. But I assume it will still work with the slower speeds.

just a note (for >100mbps speeds DOCSIS 3.0 modems): Time warner requires 16 channel-bonding modems
Interesting. I have a friend on Comcast Blast! 105Mbit/sec down, and without the 10/100 router in the way, his PC with gigabit LAN gets 110Mbit/sec down on Comcast Speedtest, with an SB6121 4x4 modem.

4x4 theoretically supports up to 171.52 Mbps

Comcast allows 4x4 modems to get thier Blast! 105mbps service

it's just Time warner being a pain

6183 costs 3x as much as the 6141!
Edit - damn, not sure what price I was looking at the day I bought the 6141. not even 2x now. probably would have sprung the extra $55 for the 6183. meh
