A bit much on the hyperbolic side?

I'm not really sure that this will take off over other forms of authentication. You can just use the phone to authenticate against other devices, and then use multiple factors to authenticate on the phone depending on the needed security. You could already have people input alpha-numeric passwords, but you could include other forms as well such as finger-print scanning, facial recognition, voice recognition, etc.

With fingerprint, iris, voice, and facial recognition, there's no reason people should be branded, tattooed, and chipped like livestock.
