Motorola phone users: Do you get some kind of notification when you attach the phone to a charger?

Got a Motorola V220 in the mail today, a refurb model with 13 minutes on the life timer. When I connect it to the wall using the AC adapter I don't get any kind of indication that charging has started. Should I assume something is farked?

I have a Motorola T720. Most of the time it tells me this, while sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, it completely stops working and doesn't put any of my calls or messages through.

The battery life indicator isn't doing anything but gradually going down. Stupid refurb phones. Now I need to figure out if this is a phone problem or an AC adaptor problem.

got a Motorola i730, and when I hook up a device (charger or USB cable), its says "Device Attached" and the LCD remains lit.

I have a T722.. most of the time when I put it to charge, the screen lights up and the ringer changes to Loud. If I open it, it'll say 'charging,' but besides that I get no notification. It doesn't make a noise or anything, and sometimes I have the feeling that it isn't charging.

My ancient ST7868W beeps at me when it's plugged into a charger.

my v505 will beep after 5 seconds and the battery symbol blinks.

My motorolla will beep once and the battery meter will flash

My t720 makes a nifty sound whenever I connect it, it also says charging on the screen.

My 720 does that on occasion. Just clean the contacts were the charger connects.

it does a 'boop' sound and then says 'charging' on the outside display. if i flip it open, it says 'charging battery' and the battery indicator flashes and shows how much of it is completed.

edit: btw, this is a moto v710.

Mine makes a beep bop sound, screen backlight comes on for a second, then it starts charging.

Okay, apparently my AC adapter was dead. I stopped by a Rogers Wireless store, got a swapped adapter and everything is good. The V220 actually says "Charging" while it's doing so.
