Motorola g7 Optimo Maxx ring issues

I have a Moto g7 Optimo Maxx phone and it is having issues with the ring for phone calls. When someone calls, it will not ring or vibrate, lots of times doesn't even show a missed call. It will notify me if they leave a voicemail. I have checked all the settings and everything is turned on. To get it working again, I restart the phone and it will work for a short while then stops again. Is this a sign of the phone going bad?
