It's got BT 3.0, my phone has BT 3.0, Moto claims 100 meter range, wowzers this might be a killer headset.
My review is as follows:
Motospeak app for the Android works pretty good, I sent some hands free texts and it was accurate enough. You can set it to open an app, dial a number or voice control dialing/texting. I actually like the app so - it's a +
comfortable. it's a +
nice battery life. it's a +
100 meter range? *scratches head*
I understand their claim's under absolute perfect conditions, I don't expect to get 333 feet and staying connected. 50 Meters though? *scratch head*
I put my phone on my kitchen table, walked outside and before I hit the mail box my music was completely gone. While I haven't measured it, I'm guessing it's 6 meters max. Hummm perhaps the 333 feet thing doesn't work for A2DP. I was realistically hoping for maybe 150-200 feet, which still would have been damn awesome.
So I decided to perform a 120 second range test using it against my old 2.1 headphones. The results were as follows:
2.1 headphones - range SUCKED, as I expected
new uber 3.1 headset - I got like 2, maybe 3 extra feet over the 2.1! But my "tests" took me 2 minutes and weren't really that scientific. But, based off my findings I either have a lemon phone, a lemon headset, or Motorola's lying their ass off. There's *one* wall between my kitchen and the mail box. I understand a wall will be a great hinderance to the signal, but shit I can't think of a situation where I'll be in an open field to test it out - verdict? WORTHLESS
As a headset I really like it, but if this is what Bluetooth 3.0 has to offer, UGH lol.
