No muffling here. The two times I got muffling it was because of my parent's landline being a POS.

There are no firmware upgrades for the e815 yet.

You need to contact the seller.

Kind of obvious why they sold it, eh? Hope the seller does right by you!

Here's the thing. I can't tell whether its the seller or its just me not used to the phone. I can't accuse the seller because I'm not sure if its normal.

Do you have somebody else near you who can try the phone? It does take a little bit of learning to hold it exactly right to your ear. IMO, this is due to the 'stylish' earphone piece.

EDIT: Regardless, contact the seller and tell him you're having issues/not satisfied.

Seconded. It was probably abused in some fashion (dropped in a toilet, or from second story window), because there is NO sound quality issue with that phone.

I contacted him. I don't know anyone else with the phone, and I can't imagine Verizon letting me get a new one...and I can't see why the seller would help me, we did a trade and he already has my phone that I traded with him.

You've got to be kidding. Is this from ATOT FS/FT? There are some kind of "HEAT" concerns, no?

Yeah, its FS/FT, so hopefully the heat will be important enough to him.

Yeah... I sold it to him because I was switching to Cingular and he was switching to Verizon. I've only had that phone for a couple of months...

You can tell if a phone has water damage (at least on GSM phones) by lifting up the battery, if the sticker is red, it was waterdamaged.

I am willing to help the buyer out, the phone is only a couple months old and it should be covered by Motorola's 1 year standard warrenty. Call Verizon and they should be able to help you warrenty replace it.

I have told the buyer, I have not experanced ANY problems with this phone. I only had it for a couple of months, got tired of Verizon's poor coverage over my area and decided to end my contract and get Cingular...

Heatware is VERY important to me and I am trying to do everything I can to help the buyer out..
