Motorola announcement today...guesses?

So is the X+1 going to be the longly rumoured 5.2" device or will we see the new speculation of the much larger "Shamu" fabulet?

Will they show both?

Think they'll learn from the Moto X mistake and price it at $399 out of the gate?

I expect to see the Moto X1 (really sounds a lot better than X+1), the Moto 360, that earpiece thing, and the next Moto G.

I can't wait to see the new Moto X. I believe the original was the longest phone I've used in a while. 6-7 months. After that, I switched to a Lumia 1520 and now an iPhone 5S. I'm ready to go back to my Android though. I've had enough jaunts with other OSes.

IIRC there may have already been Verizon product sheets showing $199 for 16GB and $249 for 32GB versions on contracts so I doubt it. Can't recall where I saw it though. Maybe another Black Friday sale is waiting...

Personally I might just keep my original X unless they make that 5.9" variant with the Moto software extras (or maybe just substitute Active Display with a Moto 360).

Really? I haven't seen those. If so, then yeah it's DOA. Same problem of Moto X all over again.

It's confusing as shit. I also thought today was the day. An invite posted on every major tech site makes you think the keynote is THAT DAY. That's how pretty much every company does it. But nope. Unless you get a leak you won't see shit till tomorrow.

To be fair, Motorola themselves didn't state it was going to be a public event. They sent the invites to the press directly. I don't even believe they said anywhere that the event was going to be live streamed.

Regardless, I was excited for today, but apparently, I'll have to wait till tomorrow..... But I'm OK with that I suppose!

From what I've read, Best Buy has apparently received shipments of Motorola products which more than likely includes the Moto 360 and the Moto Bluetooth earpiece. There might be something to buy tomorrow after all!

It looks great, but that black spot at the bottom really does a number on it... I'm not sure I could live with that. Other than that, I do like it better than the R, but that spot might be a deal breaker. Decisions....

More just annoyed at how drawn out the intended/unintended leaks and teases have been on some of their stuff. Went from spring release, to summer, now into fall. Then they sent out an "invite" for the announcement and that ends up being a private release.

I guess I'm just now used to how Apple handles their announcements and products and consider that the industry standard.
