obviously this will vary from state to state (i'm in georgia)

i can ride a bicycle on the road without a license

i need a license to drive a motorcycle

where is the cut-off point? does anything with a motor require a driver's license/permit?

(don't need to drive on highways/controlled-access roads, just back roads)

I think you can ride some mo-peds and scooters. As far as i know (and been told) its legal if the motor is under 50cc.

Obviously, this may be different in GA

Around here I think mopeds and dirtbikes can be on roads where a bicycle can be ridden w/o a license if they are less than 50 cc (it might be 25 cc).

I think farm machinery can go on some roads unlicensed.

Do you not have a license at all, or is your license suspended? NH has motorcycle endorsements and moped licenses, but if your regular driver's license has been suspended, you are prohibited from operating any motorized vehicle.
