TULSA, Okla. - A motorcyclist known for testing the limits of jumping on two wheels plans to soar to a world record.

Trigger Gumm, 38, will attempt a 315-foot jump Sunday at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Okla. Gumm, of San Clemente, Calif., already holds the Guinness world record for a motorcycle jump _ a 277 1/2-foot flight on May 14, 2005 _ at the Queensland Raceway in Australia.

Gumm will attempt the jump with a 450cc Service Honda outfitted with a custom-built, 4-stroke engine and specially designed shocks to help absorb the landing. He said he'll be traveling about 90 miles per hour when he hits the ramp and will be launched about 70 or 80 feet high in the air.

A Guinness Book of World Records representative plans to attend the event to certify the jump as an official world record, a Guinness official said.
