If you live where the climate allows for year-round motorcycle riding bliss, I hate you! :p

Weather is starting to wind down here, already had some days below 10c. I'm still riding, but I know the day is coming soon where I'll have to store my baby for her first winter. I've posted about it before, but I'll leave a few pics here:

It's a Yamaha FZ6R, looks very sporty and the inline 4 sounds nice and racey (at least from the rider's point of view - the exhaust is very quiet). It's my first and I couldn't be happier with it and my experiences riding it so far. Has been really easy to learn on, seems very forgiving and although it's a 600, it's quite tame. Fast enough to get into trouble/stay fun for a long time, but not crazy at all. And it's comfortable too! Done a number of 10-12 hour days on it and pleased with the results.

I heard the "dragon" is a nice little road south of the border, gotta check that out next summer. ;)

Installed a new shield on the bike yesterday. Took it out for a spin after work - in a balmy 85 degrees.

This is the first reason I really rode a lot. Did cali superbike school though and i'll probably hit up the track again monday.

I picked up a heated jacket liner and gloves so hopefully i'll be able to ride until the snow drops.

nice! i want to do the more advanced course next summer, and probably hit up a track too. so far I'm closing in on 2500kms under my belt, not bad for less than 2 months of riding.

I ride year round. As long as it's not raining. I have rain gear but it's too much trouble getting dressed and undressed.

I ride year round here too. It rarely rains here though so I don't own rain gear. If it's raining I just take the cage.

Actually, I'm at 3000km, wow where did the last 500kms go!

Rode to work today (even though I can walk to work lol), and to my surprise I saw a nice black FZ6R to park next to! :D

Still riding here (well, bike seems to have an electrical issue, but it should be back on the road soon). Bit foggy and windy, but that is normal for SF, I don't imagine the weather will stop me at all.

Bike has been taken apart for two weeks waiting for new baffles. With any luck I'll get it back together this weekend, and it will actually be quiet enough to ride. Weather has been great.

If I still lived in the SoCal desert, motorcycle season would just be starting up. And I would still have my dirt bikes. :colbert:

Harley V-Rod. I had to change pipes so the hard bags would fit. The choices for V-Rod pipes are stupid loud, ear splitting loud, and ear bleeding loud. I'm having a hell of a time figuring out a way to quiet the damn thing down. Sounds great at idle up to twenty five hundred RPM's, above that it's murder. At 9k RPM's I'm deaf, and it feels like my eyeballs are going to pop.

On the plus side, when I'm splitting lanes cars a hundred yards ahead are moving over.

Gotta ride on Friday the 13th. Saw a lot of bikers heading down to Port Dover for the big shindig they have there. The only other place you can find that many fat bearded guys in leather is the bear march during pride week. ^_^

Meh, I'll stick to my four wheels good. Saw a couple bikes out this evening but it's starting to get a bit chilly.
