I bought an x18 110c mini motorcycle for a bargain because it wouldn't start via electric start, or kick start and it wouldn't idle. Only way was to pop start. Trickle charge the battery but that didn't work, but I messed with every thing and now it kick starts fine. Problem is the idle is funky, I messed with some stuff and finally got it to idle fine but only if the choke is on. Is it ok to run with the choke on the entire time? Thanks

Seems like you're running lean... quick google search revealed several answers similar to this one:

"If the choke isn't on, try riding the bike with the choke on to see if anything changes. If running it with the choke on makes it better, your bike is running too lean and the carbs need adjusted. If it doesn't change anything, there may be a problem with the choke."

Probably gunk/dirt in the carb blocking the idle circuit. Carb needs rebuilding.

tried the carb adjustment without luck.

how long have you owned this bike? when's the last time the carbs have been cleaned? o-rings changed? float heights checked? you have good seals around the intake boots? valves adjusted?

just some stuff i've done all related to performance. i have air leaks, so i'm running rich right now :(

I have a bullet hole in my chest. As long as I keep a bandage on it and keep pressure on it, it's fine, but if I take it off, I just keep bleeding. Is it ok if I just walk around with a bandage on it all the time?

I forgot to turn the choke of once when I was riding a few years ago. Was going fine until I stopped at a red light, when it sputtered and died. I started it back up and it shot flames about 4ft back.:D Scared the hell out of me but I realized quickly what had happened. haha

If it ment getting the bike/myself home I'd run the choke and limp it home. After that though I wouldn't advise riding it anywhere until the carb was rebuilt.

Keep in mind running lean is what makes motors go BOOM.
