any one know the average motorcycle insurance for a 16 y/o. i herd its reaaaally cheap and im a cheap kinda guy so please post. thx

Well the libality part is cheap as a motorcycle can't do as much damage or harm as a full sized car/truck. But full coverage would cost more then the bike for YOU. That and just 1 ticket or claim would make libality very costly. So if you don;t hot dog it and drive with proper gear and follow ALL the rules of the road you will be ok.

i pay 400/yr full coverage..

your insurance rate depends on where you live, what you ride, your riding record, MSF course and how many years you have ridden.

My coverage will drop by 1/2 for the next season. I got about 100K coverage on mine if im right.

quotes are free from progressive, go get one of those. it's impossible for us to guess what it would be for your age, record, area, bike, etc.

All depends on the type of bike as well. Crotch Rockets cost way more to insure than standard cruisers.

I had mine at Progressive and it was really cheap but I don't remember what it was. And I had an EX500 which is basically a Ninja 500.

Wow... what was it when you were living down here in LA?

Recent quotes I've gotten for full coverage on a 600cc is $4000/yr... 😕 lol... I could get a new bike every year for that. 🙂

definatly NOT cheap specially for a 16 year old...
you are in the prime age group to become dead before 20 in the eyes of the insurance company..
in fact you might be blacklisted till 25 depending on the bike..

$300/yr full coverage for any bike.

with Farmers, have our auto and house (and life soon) insurance through them.

male, 25, single (but engaged). should see a 20% decrease when we get married, or so i'm told.

chances are im probably getting a cruiser just to ride to school and what not...i lived down in louisiana...idk if yall are speakin of LA as los ang. or louisiana...i think its a great idea considering the school is only about 3 miles from my house...cheap insurance...the only bad part is rain....and down in southern louisiana...more rain

ps: im not getting this to show off(sometimes maybe occasionally)just a ride...to school and back...ill prolly borrow someone elses car in the house hold for week end stuff..
