Motorcycle crash with hilarious results

LOL. Is it just me or did it look like that was a really slow motorcycle race? It looked like they were all doing about 30mph.

There was a yellow flag in that area and also, by the looks of it, a pretty sharp turn.. with a damp track.

Yah - It did look like a slow corner - Maybe 60.

Once the Yellow flag is out, the riders are supposed to cool down in that area of the track (no passing, etc). So that explains why the other guys are tippy~toe~ing around in the video.

That's at ***LeMans, right? Google~Fu says the average speed for an open class bike during the daytime for an endurance race is around 150KM/H.

Moto GrandPrix bikes can touch 300KM/H on the straights at many tracks. The (theoretical) max on a long enough straightaway is something like 350 KM/H (217 MP/H) for the very fastest bikes.

***Self Correction: It's at Magny Cours (France) - I haven't found speed listings, but the full course is 4.4 Kilometers long, and the winner of the last Superbike race was running 1.37.6 lap times.

The guy trying to catch the bike while it was spinning, and then walking away completely pissed off was hilarious.

Seems like a kill switch like they have on Jet Ski's would be a good idea. You know those cables that attach to your wrist so that if the rider falls off it becomes disconnected from the bike and kills the engine.

that one guy has emotional issues.

Probably doesn't help that he was in the lead pack, he got hit, and then his bike spun until it finally stopped and the engine was shut off.

I would suspect that if your bike shuts off that you cannot re-enter the race.
