Motor Trend Best Driver Car 2012

Now that's what I call a professional driver. He's so excited to drive those cars and drive them well.

Too bad they didn't get a Turbo S, that would be my choice for a daily driver.

God I would love to have my hand at that track. So awesome.
I want to like the Camaro, but I just don't love the look of it. I'd take an SRT Challenger over it any day just because it looks so mint.

I was just driving there...

well actually it was in my basement playing shift 2.

I have been practicing the Nordschliefe for a year with that game.

Did they use the 458 last year?

I think the cars have to be new this year... which is why the 2013 Black edition GTR squeezes in...

I'm somewhat excited about the next gen Camaro vs Mustang. Lighter Camaro with better visibility hopefully and hopefully they upgrade the brakes on the Mustang and it's getting IRS. Both cars will hopefully be around 3800lbs in the ZL1/GT500 trim with similar suspension.

Hopefully the Mustang isn't 3800lbs. The current one is absolutely massive as it is at ~3600lbs, it's the size of a Toyota Camry. The Mustang hopefully is lighter and smaller, more like 3400-3500lbs and smaller. The Current Mustang is a big, muscly car, it wouldn't be a bad idea to make it smaller and lighter.

You may have misunderstood his comment. There is currently a massive weight difference between the GT500 and Boss/GT/V6 Mustangs due to the much heavier motor and SC/piping/etc that the GT500 has. It already makes the GT500 much less of a circuit car than the other Mustang variants are, and more of a quarter mile / standing mile dragster. What he was hoping is that the GT500 version is 3800lbs, which would be pretty reasonable if it still has the same class of motor (it can handle ridiculous amounts of boost due to being very stoutly built). If the GT500 tips in at 3800, then the GT/etc should come in at 3200-3300, which is pretty much all we can hope for in a well-equipped V8 GT-class car, though it might be closer to 3400-3500.

I hope that made sense 🙂 The Mustang is already lighter than the Camaro and Challenger, and it's paid off in terms of fuel economy and fun factor, so hopefully it goes even further next-gen.

Reading the article...how the hell did the BR-Z beat the McClaren MP412-C? Thats just stupid.....Don't get me wrong I like BR-Z's for what they are, but to say its a better drivers car than a McClaren is silly.

I almost forgot the biggest fail of all:

Nuremberg ring.

I think that is funny. The drag race was at the former EL Toro Marine Base which is 5 mins from my house. I noticed they made sure the Hangar where Top Gear is filmed at the doors where moved so the Top Gear logo was covered up.

They were supposedly only testing cars that had undergone redesigns or incremental updates for 2012.
