I used mobil 5000 miles on a toyota. Oil was changed on december 2010 . Car was driven just 1000 miles to 2000 miles. Most of the time car was parked. Do you guys think it need another oil change and filter? I know about moisture can form inside.

toyota service interval for oil change is typically 6 months. So, yes. Change it.

That's a long time. I'd prob change it. When it is driven, how far is it driven?

That oil is 2 years old plus used. Yes I'd change it, no brainer. Generally, it is good practice to change it after the 1 year mark if you haven't hit the mileage interval.

How the heck do you only drive 1k a year though

I usually change it once a year. Its also not just about the oil but a good time to check your brakes, rotate/check the tires, check the other fluids, etc...

So think of it as a yearly check up that includes a oil change.
