Uh oh! A security issue has been discovered on the Droid 2 and Droid X that allows you to make calls to just about anyone even though your phone is supposed to be locked. That security PIN you set up doesn’t actually lock anyone out completely and you can see from the video we took below, that it appears to be happening to Blur-slathered phones only. That’s right, the Droid 1, Nexus One and just about any other phone you can think of appear not to be experiencing this issue. Yikes!

Joy, now security vulnerability can be added to the crapfest that is Blur.

It's like you're an iPhone fanboy with the level of sensationalism and exaggerated bashing you consistently post. No skin is perfect. This is hardly an issue that anybody is going to know about or exploit and will probably be fixed. I could write a full page long point by point page explaining to you why Blur is very competitive with Sense, TouchWiz, and stock Android without you being able to have a single legitimate counter argument but you would still say it sucks much the same way any fanboy says anything sucks without any knowledge of the topic.

fact is Moto has been churning out crap. The success of the Droid 1 was really in its unlocked self and because it was America's first alternative to the iPhone.

I may advocate Android, but I'm hardly a fanboy. You're welcome to attempt to create a full page write up on Blur, but I can shoot it down very easily with a single, simple statement: You can't uninstall it, its ever present and always running. HTC has put a high degree of polish into Sense, making it far better than Blur or TW, but it still suffers from the same problem.

If that's the only thing you could come up with that would "refute" his presentation, your argument already fails.

I really hope that the cellular providers get hit with a class action lawsuit that makes them rethink adding their own crap onto Android. That would be awesome!

But it won't happen.

Uh, no. It very effectively kills any argument of his. Having completely unneeded applications that you're forced to run whether you want to or not, that brick the phone if removed via root and adb, which introduce a pretty serious security vulnerability, is not 'okay'. This is behavior that should bring down the hammer on the company responsible. For some reason, haven't quite figured out why really, too many people seem to be perfectly okay with having everyone else make decisions for them, whether it be a Govt, a corporation, or a GPS unit. They're okay with not owning anything in their lives and its fine to simply rent everything. Its not a good thing guys.

Really? Droid X had inventory problems for quite a while.

Why don't you get it started by finding a lawyer to initiate the suit?

cause my phone isn't sensed/blurred/touchwizd/anything. Just plain Froyo. So without having to worry about that stuff...I should have Ice cream sooner than anyone!
