I've noticed that recently my Moto x is having trouble with speech input. It seems to miss the beginning of any sentence that is spoken. It happens with both moto voice and with the plain old OK google.
If you watch the mic input dots in google search they stay low for a couple of seconds and then pick up half a sentence. The seems to be unrelated to time when you trigger the voice input. You need to say something, then say it again for the second time to register.
My thoughts are something along the lines of the microphone level adjustment being out of whack as I was having lots of problems with skype too. It just ramped up sensitivity until all I got was huge feedback and hissing but only when the bottom speaker was in use. The earpiece worked fine for skype.
I'm wondering if anybody else has noticed anything similar, thinks my diagnosis is likely, or has suggestions for solutions.
