Moto X 2013 Lollipop update

So 5.1 has been rolled out now. Wow talk about a battery killer. My phones been off charger for 3 hours and i used it maybe 5 mins on tapatalk while on the pot. Other than that been sitting on my desk here at work. Im at 66%.

Lame. Not that the moto x was amazing battery life before but this is sad.

Plus..playstation buttons for icons..lame also lol

Yeah Lollipop was a certain batterylife downgrade. Android M will be the upgrade on that.

I've got 5.1 on an XT1053 and XT1058 and the only change in battery performance that I've seen is that cell standby is making a bigger hit against the battery than in Kitkat.

And the buttons are stock Lollipop not Moto.

Can't say the same. My Moto X battery life is the same. Terrible!

For some reason my 3rd reboot after updating seems to have slowed it down to a more reasonable level. Ill monitor it again today.

No i just powered the phone down and back on. Seemed to work the 3rd time. Just sitting idle i only lost 3% an hour today.

I've heard that with new firmware you need to charge/discharge the battery a few times to calibrate it. Maybe that's what you experienced. Anyways I'm glad it's worked itself out.
