Moto G4 vs Moto G4 Plus

I want to get the G4 with 32 GB or the G4 plus with 64 GB. But that is also a $100 price increase.

The big differences of the plus I see:
Plus has a higher resolution camera. But is the camera actually better.
Plus has 4 GB of RAM vs 2 GB

I don't play games. I just want more storage over my flaky G3 (SD card reader is hosed). 16 GB is not enough! I'm constantly deleting apps and sick of it.

Please advise.

If I get a 32 GB SD card, what should I go with? I'm thinking that I don't need the plus but I would like to increase storage over the 32 GB model. I don't mind going high end on the SD Card. class 10 or faster is fine with me. $50 is not an issue. Or I just go with the 64 GB internal and essentially pay an extra $50 for a slightly faster phone with a "better" camera.

Just watched a comparison of the two regarding camera and video. The Plus is better in some scenarios due to the laser auto focus.

Meh, I'm just getting the G4 plus. Extra $50 but the slight improvements over the G4 are worth the extra $50 and I don't have to worry about failing SD card readers anymore.

you can retrieve data by yourself. There are programs to do that. For example
My Device Manager
I used it few times. it's free and it works as good as can be expected. The main thing is to stop using the external hard disk until you use this tool, and avoid writing any files to it.

Got the Moto G Plus (4th gen) w/64 GB. $275 at best buy. not a refurb. should be at the store on Friday.

Can't wait to get it!

Going to be awesome!!!!!

Now to transfer everything over ..... hrmmmmm ... read about it. Not difficult but to get all passwords, settings, history (SMS is VERY important right now) I need to jump through a few hoops.

You wouldn't think so, but the Verizon Content Transfer apps worked on an unlocked Moto G4 Plus (because Samsung Smart Switch wouldn't). The G4P did not have a SIM card.

Have my moto g3 plus up and running for a few days now. Got most of what I wanted ported over, ported over.

I love the screen. Can't believe I said that. The fingerprint reader is awesome. I thought it would be gimmicky. Nope, it is awesome. It's so easy to unlock my phone now. You need to use the passcode after bootup for security which is smart.

The best thing:
64 GB. I can put things on my phone and not think about it!!!!!!

Other things I like are the fact that it has 4 GB of RAM vs 2 GB in my previous phone. The 8 core processor with slight speed increase is also nice. This thing is just wicked snappy compared to the G3. It's a real upgrade!!!!!!

Camera is sufficient for me.
