Moto G4 (2nd gen) just died out of the blue...

Really odd, charge was still at 60%, then the screen just went black.
Couldn't power cycle it, removed battery and it seemed fine, stuck it back in, nadda.

So, what is a good replacement phone, this time around, a microSD slot is required.
Root ability is also a must.

Any recommendations that won't break the bank? Not looking to spend more than $150.

amazon has various phones available that are subsidized with ads. but from what i've read, the ads aren't terribly intrusive. nor are they targeted. requires amazon prime to get the low price. (a friend with prime can buy it for you if you don't have prime.)
