Moto G 2nd Generation (2014) RUGGED cases?

Just got the new Moto G for my wife. She is the type of person that simply MUST have a very sturdy case...or the phone will simply not last long. As much as it kills me to pay $40+ for an otterbox, I would do it....but they are not available yet for the new Moto G.

Any ideas for other very rugged cases? I'm digging though amazon but haven't found something that is at the level of Otterbox Defender. Any type of slim fit or bumper case is out of the question. She has to have more than that.

They work fine and honestly if she needs more than that I'd question getting her a smartphone in the first place. Not otterbox level quality but it would survive most drops on concrete unless you threw it off a building. Which, given the description of how your wife treats her phones, maybe that is a plausible scenario.

She already lived with a bruised and cracked gnex for a long time. And it why she has a $180 Moto G and not $650 Nexus 6. I consider it a reasonable compromise. 🙂
