MOTO battery indicator

HOW FVCKING HARD IS IT TO TELL HOW MUCH BATTERY YOU HAVE LEFT ON THIS THING.

My Moto V600 is 1/3 battery left, meaning its ORANGE indicator and there's 1 freaking bar. For the past month or so my mom says she doesnt even know how much battery there is because she's been using my V600.

Today she confronts me and asks me where the indicator is. I said it's on the top right, there's a battery icon, and see it has 1 bar in there out of 3, meaning 1/3 left.

She asks "is it in the orange thing?"

I tell her yes, there are bars, notice there's only 1 bar left.

Apparently she doesn't get it.

I say it's on the left side of the battery (using my hands as a battery) and say there are vertical bars like a progress meter kinda...

She doesnt get it and apparently thinks its kinda like my SE phone where it's clearly a progress meter because its either white or color (white being the used up portion).

Anyways, I have to get a sheet of paper out and draw the battery indicator.

She accuses me of not helping her and that says her question all along was whether the OJ thing was it or not. Except she said "Is it in the orange thing." No there's a difference. IN the orange thing and THE orange thing. So supposedly I was confusing and I deliberately trying to confuse and not help. Then she says when I said "left hand side of the battery" (leaving out the battery part) she says I deliberately tried to confuse her into thinking left side of the entire display panel (which is reception).

Anyways I get yelled at. YAY.

Bottom line. I think phones are somewhat intuitive. I've gone from Samsung to Moto to SE and back to Moto and now back to SE again. I've rarely touched Nokia phones or other phones, but I swear I can always figure it out. Maybe I press the wrong key at first, but damnit it's not that hard...

agreed...it's not that ****** hard

i have the same problem with my mom...she's very bright otherwise...i seriously think she's deliberatly dense when it comes to anything with an ic

HAHA! At least my mom understands the battery indicator on her cellphone.

I had an SE K750i until it drowned in the washer. Went back to my old Moto V600 for a bit before my parents picked up an SE K700i for their own use. They didn't like it so I offered to swap. We did, and it's been almost a month or so.

K750i = dead. still powers on and plays MP3s, takes pictures, I love the flashlight for working with my comp, but refuses to charge (thus needs to be plugged into wall/usb) and also LCD backlight = dead = extremely hard to see anything... still makes calls if i stick the SIM in. Great way to trash a $400 phone huh? =P

Ouch ouch. If it still works but doesn't charge. Maybe the battery is just dead?

My RAZR has a little green battery with three little vertical bars on it. Seems pretty simple to me. I don't know if it's the same indicator as on your phone, but you'd have to be blind not to be able to figure it out.
