I can't help you on the motivating side of the self help spectrum - I could use a good book myself.. But I do enjoy the gentlemen series (by john bridges)..
"As A Gentleman Would Say" helps you remain calm and cool during awkward social situations by telling you the best thing to say/do.. Situations such as a co-worked telling you that they're mother died or how to properly walk by a group of peope sitting down in a movie theater are covered (I NEVER knew that you should face the people whom are sitting down)
he has other books that'll help you figure out how to dress during certain occassions and how to have proper manners and such.. Lots of this is common sense but I'm a clumsy geek - I totally lack common sense!
I'll let you know of any other books.. my sister gave me an "idiots guide to setting goals" but I've never gotten a chance to read it.. i know, ironic... 😉
