Motion tracking headsets?

I'm looking for a motion tracking headset for FPS games.... Basically want to have the video in the headset, so I can look around in games. anyone know of any good ones? Price isn't an issue.

lulz ^^ 640x480

Do you really mean price isn't an issue? I've seen some used by Boeing and such, but you're probably looking at tens of thousands.

The only head tracking peripheral i've ever heard of is the TrackIR. Not sure what games it works with though. I know arma 2 is one of them.

He wants the displays in the headset itself, not just the tracking.

Now that I think about it, you could use a headset and then use the Track IR on top of that. Would be significantly cheaper than an all-in-one solution.

Go with TrackIR, or maybe Eyefinity, or possibly combine them. The virtual reality type headsets, just aren't very appealing.

Thanks Guys! I'll check those out.

This is for an R&D project for work, so I could go into the thousands of dollars solution if needed. I'll start small and see how the Vuzix headsets and the TrackIR with a glasses mounted display work out.

You should have said it was for work, not play to begin with, and that you had a big budget.

If you got one of the best headsets with higher resolutions, and don't use it for long durations they might be OK for your project. But for gaming, the affordable ones are low res, and give people headaches if they use them very long.

If you have the space and budget you could go with a projector system.
