Motion sensor and alarm

Looking for small motion sensors that I can place around the driveway and to my deck that will send an alarm or chime to a unit in the house.

Everything I see on amazon either has an alarm on the sensor which won't help me at all, or the sensor is huge.

Looking for something discrete that people won't readily notice.

you're not going to get discrete out of a consumer grade product.

It doesn't seem overly complicated. I would think a spy gadget shop would have what you want. If not, you could piece something together. A breadboard, ultrasonic sensor, and some type of wireless communication shouldn't be super complicated. Powering it, though, might be one of the more annoying parts.

I also don't have an Iphone.

Although a sensor the size and thickness of an iphone, just in black, brown, or dark gray might be ok.

way more complicated than I want.

I just want 4 or 5 small motion sensors and 1 receiver that gives out a chime or something to alert me when someone or something crosses the path of the sensor.

There's plenty of products out there that do it but most seem too conspicuous (as in large size or bright white in color) or don't have a receiver (the alarm is also on the sensor).

how far away can the sensor send the signal to the transceiver?
don't see how i can buy more sensors -that site sucks ass.

At least 80 feet, never tried farther. And your right, the site sucks, I've always used ebay instead:

X-10 has stopped most manufacturing, and prices are going up, I think I paid less than $15 for all three pieces.
