A vacation or even a permanent ban would do him good, since we can't obvuiously force him to get a cold shower.
 
He's not insulting anyone directly. It's like me saying "people who complain about wanting to ban people are stupid poopyheads".

Your plea stands on somewhat shaky grounds. Besides that, his argument as to why homosexual men should not be in the army is valid (although very much overly exaggerated).
 
Personally, i think the quote above reeks of hate and prejudice, disguised as logical thought. If he had said the same thing about blacks, hispanics, or asians, he would be banned immediately. It should be no different with gays.
 
There's no parallel for that, unless you're talking stereotypes with races. He's talking about straight facts concerning homosexuals and their "preference" for those of the same sex.

Also, the "don't ask, don't tell" policy is being used anyways in the military (just say you're straight and don't come onto any guys), so he has a valid point. And homosexuality is not something that is supposed to happen anyways (detracts from survival of species), so obviously there's some variance from heterosexuality, whether with hormones or just a mental issue.

If I had said "we should not allow blacks into malls because they'll steal all the TVs", that merits a vacation, at least, but saying "gays should not be in the military because they would be a distraction to their fellow soldiers" is valid, at least enough so that the army adopts this readily as policy.
 
I don't advocate measures like these. But his attitude is consistent and goes way beyond the "military" issue. The rest of that particular thread proves it.

By the way I am BugsBunny1078. I think alot of people enjoyed the back and forth banter between myself playing the conservative side and the majority of the other posters being very liberal. Leave it to some Canadian cvnt with a d1ck stuck up her ass to come spoil everyone elses fun, even when she never participates in the p&n forum before. Please ban my IP now so I dont come look at this unworthy of my presence forum again. Honestly, the kinds of people who are going to hang out in the Politics forum need to have a think enough skin to ignore people with crazy ideas who are out of touch with reality. That's what the forum's there for -- to keep that kind of stuff out of the rest of the forums.

So basically some of you here are saying that this example is perfectly ok in the P&N forum? (disclaimer: The following is obviously NOT my personal opinion; it's more of a satire and analogy to the topic in question).

They would be harassing the white people because that's what black people do, and they would be degrading to real scholars and educated/successful people. (the white people). We should have just kept them in slavery because theyre at least more useful being slaves than being bums who want welfare all the time. Yes I do believe also that some of the same reasons should prevent hispanics from being in white areas as well. The difference is if hispanics in white areas are being stupid it's good because we need the manual labor."
 
FYI, the consensus by many in P&N is that Bugs is a plant by the organization NAMBLA whose sole purpose is to give Conservatives a bad name.As demonstrated by MDE, his posts are nothing but ignorant ramblings that nobody in their right mind could possibly believe unless they were BiPolar and were not taking meds to relieve the symptoms. If anybody should complain it is the Fund A Mental Cases whom he suposedly represents as he makes them seem as whacky as Jerry Falwell and Pat Roberstson.When you come across posts of his I suggest you do what everybody else does who are of sound mind and that is to laugh and ridicule him.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but the human race is pretty good at detracting from survival of the species without sneaking a peek in the military shower.
 
If I was gay, I'm pretty sure I'd be offended by that BS, and I have a pretty damn thick skin.
I don't know is he's just trying to stir up trouble, of if he's serious, but in either case, stuff like that is just worthless in every possible way.

I'll admit however, that I get offended easier by funda-mentals spewing their BS than "just people" spewing BS, there's just something very annoying about funda-mentals.
 
It is easier to get riled up over an idiotic post(er) than one that lays out facts logically.

Bugs walks into the gray area, but I do not think that he has crossed the line yet.

If sexual preference is inherent (and all the evidence I've ever seen points to that being the case) then race IS the same thing. Both are inherent traits.
