Hello, i'm a new member here and i hope we can have a fun time together.
So, i've got myself a dedicated laptop for gaming on the go, and I kinda got into plugging it in the TV for gaming and etc, at the moment i'm mapping the m/kb with logitech controllers(also capable of x360 control emulation)
This has been working great so far with many games from super meat boy to dark souls.
But I would like to have a better way to map the mouse movement than an analog stick, mainly because i occasionally browse the web(my tv is 60"), and also for games(not mouse-heavy ones). But i really can't decide what would work best for me.
The first thing i considered was the PS Move. Mouse seems really great with it and the buttons are great too. I might even get a couple of navigation models for games. but drawbacks are a short battery life and it feels kinda gimmicky.
The other option is Razer hydra, which would give the best feel, but i really am not sure if it works if i leave the sphere on a table and use it on the couch.(they say the range is 2-3 foot)
The kinect(for windows?) feels really imprecise and bad for mouse emulation, specially clicking.
idk anything else, maybe wiimote?
So, what are your thoughts about this? I never owned any motion controller before. Do you think I should get a one(which?), or it's all just too gimmicky?
Thanks for reading through this.
