I just bought an Essential phone and while the device is really nice and and snappy, I see very obvious motion blur just scrolling through text (especially white text on a black/Grey background), something like ghosting on lcd monitors. It's actually hurting my eyes.

I'm comparing to my Axon 7 with an amoled screen and it is much better with no noticeable blur.

Anyone else notice this on their lcd screen phones?

OLED is known to have better response rates than LCD. This is why VR units require OLED.

With that said, the Essential's LCD doesn't seem particular bad in this aspect. Do you have brightness fairly low? You might just be the type who's sensitive to that.

I tried with both high and low brightness.

Yeah I didn't think I was that sensitive since I use monitors that don't have super fast latency, but it was immediately noticeable on the phone to the point of being uncomfortable.
