Have you ever noticed that anorexix (sp?) people think they are fat when they are actually dangerously thin? Maybe you have the same thing going on. Maybe you are looking very thin to your mother and she is concerned for your health. Maybe you shouldn't just dismiss her claims w/o even considering them. Weight alone isn't everything. Some people who are 6' tall are healthy at 200lbs, some at 220lbs etc... Height alone doesn't dictate what is healthy and what is not.

i'm about that height & i think i'd be too thin at that weight.
my son-in-law recently lost a lot of weight on a diet similar to this. i've started calling him "Skeletor."

I've weighed 180 in the past and I'm 6'2", I got HUGE amounts of sh*t for being WAY to skinny. 6'1 195 sounds pretty slim to me, I've been lifting weights and I'm 210* now, still look skinny even at 210. It's insane how much muscle weighs, within the first week I started lifting weights I gained about 8 pounds.

I have to agree, that is pretty sick. At least just eat veggies and fruit man.

I did atkins for a little while. It was a pain in the ass just because i tend to eat out a lot, but I'd have to say, I have NEVER felt healthier or more energetic than when I was on that diet. As long as you supplement it to get all the necessary vitamins and minerals, you'll be fine.
