I just bought a T-bird 1.2Ghz 266Mhz FSB and I would like to know what kind of Mainboard I should get with it. I want to use my new computer for everything from games to movies. I got a recommendation to get the ASUS and want to know which ASUS or another mainboard suggestion? I am also planning on purchasing either 256mb or 512mb of RAM by michron and I want to know the pin size to get or what I nead? Thanks to all who respond.

Any Asus A7xxxxx board will run your chip, look at their web site and pick the one with the best features for you. Some boards use DDR memory, some use ordinary SDRAM memory. If you go for a board that takes DDR memory, you need 184-pin DDR DIMMs, if you go for anything else, it'll be 168-pin SDRAM DIMMs. I'd go for the A7M-266 with DDR memory.

I would wait for an Nforce board! ASUS or MSI will have one out next month! Its definately worth waiting a month for such a superior chipset.

I'm looking to spend between $100 and $120, so what is the ASUS recommendation for this price range?
