Motherboards with 4-pin Molex

I am starting to see more and more motherboard having the 4pin molex connector on them. What is it for? Most power supplies have that AUX connector that no boards seems to use.

it's used to power the pci-e and pci slots.
For example the ATi radeon x1600 xt has no power connector,so it draws all it's power from the pci-e slot.
Thus the 4pin molex is needed.

the 4 pin one is the 'P4' connector, ain't it? Been around for years!!!!! Used as a secondary 12V input to the board.

Now they're sometimes adding a 4-in-a-row power receptacle like the one on the rear of your DVD drive, too. As well as 8-pin (4x2) ATX12V receptacles instead of 4-pin 2x2 ones.
