My assumption was that no motherboard IGP had dual-link DVI to handle 1440p resolution. But then I noticed a BIOS update changelog for my 4 year old Biostar TA880GB+ (AMD 880G chipset) saying "Support DVI dual link." So I tried it with my 27" 1440p monitor with only DL-DVI, and it actually worked at 2560x1440!
So if it's not an IGP limitation nor a physical connector issue (it seems all mobos use DL-DVI connectors), then it must be motherboard manufacturers not bothering with implementing it in the BIOS?
Anyways, I'm wondering if any of you know of current motherboards for Intel Haswell CPUs that can do 1440p DL-DVI with the IGP?
