Hello,

If I go to Intel's web page it looks like all the new processors are for notebooks? Not sure what to do about motherboards.

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/core-i5-processor.html

Basically I was thinking of building a HTPC for 4K streaming from my server. Put it in a case like the Ultra-Slim 1200 or STPC-300.

Thanks. So they don't have any i5's on their web page that you can use in systems you can build yourself?

Nuc's usually have fans in them correct?

nucs for what they are overpriced.

but yes they have a fan. it's like a notebook fan.

if i were you and it's just an htpc socket am1 and the jaguar quad core (5350)

way cheaper.

im certain the gpu on that is better than the iris one on the 5th generation i5's.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find any video benchmark comparisons. Maybe I'll end up waiting for the new skylake processors.
