Motherboard's chipset heatsink is too close to video card.

I am looking at many AM3+ boards at newegg here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=1&name=AM3%2b

I was interested in the Asus and the Gigabytes ones, but they all seem to have put the chipset heatsink very close to video card slot. I don't think this is a good idea, but has anyone have problems with this type of spacing between the two? Any overheating or lockups?

Here are some pictures someone took on a Asus motherboard:

The second picture shows how close the video card would be to the heatsink, its only a few milimeters I think. The Gigabyte motherboards are similar in design too, there maybe a little more room than the Asus, but barely:

I can understand the op's concerns about the spacing however I've had boards with fans there that were close but in the end the clearance is there.

Just remember:
1. Heat Travels Up
2. There is another PCI-Express slot if you feel the first one is too close.

thanks, it just seemed like it was way too close to the video card. There is another slot, but its x4 though.
