It only has 1 slot for CPU servers have multi slots. I could still get it couldnt I? It should work just as fine for gaming and other stuff like that?

No. Workstation and servers can still have 1 CPU slot. It's a low end workstation solution.

Yes you can get that, but it would be ultra expensive. Not only you have to buy a s940 Opteron CPU, you will also have to buy ECC Registered DDR Ram which cost a fortune.

Ok thanks for letting me know about that I will stick to a basic Asus A8N-SLI MOBO.

It's because of the chipset, it's a workstation style board.
