Motherboard with multiple PCIe, can a "SINGLE" video card be installed on any of them?

This is a strange question but I couldn't find an answer to it.

Can I install a SINGLE 4870x2 (on a motherboard with a 4 PCIe 16x slots) on the 2nd or 3rd or the 4th PCIe Slot?

The reason is this:

I got two PCI cards, a DVB & Audigy and the 4870x2...

The 4870x2 is a double size card, so installing it on the 1st PCIe slot will take over one of the two PCI slots on the motherboard

So installing the 4870x2 on the 3rd or 4th PCIe slot will allow me to use the two PCI slots on the board, thus solving my problem...

One might say, that I can look for a motherboard with PCI/PCIe configuration that can allow what I need, unfortunately where I live, that is not an option, so I am left only with this ASUS motherboard, the M3A79-T Deluxe:

So, can I do this or not?

Please advice,
Thanx

That should be fine, although you should make sure the slot you want to install the video card on is a full x16 slot, and not a cut-down x8 slot.

Thanx guys,
I will borrow the motherboard from a friend of mine and test it before I buy it....

In case if I can't get the confirmation about the the PCIe being 16x from the manual or from ASUS, does any one know of a utility that can report the if the Video Card running on 8x or 16x ?

Thanx
