Hi everyone!
I'm building a "retro looking" computer for a special purpose. I've got an old IBM PC/XT chassis and I thought it might be cool to use it...
Problem:
Every motherboard i've seen these days (ATX, microATX, etc.) has those pesky video, usb, serial connectors mounted directly on the back of the board. Suffice it to say that the PC/XT has no such machined holes in the back to accomodate those connectors. It has the vertically mounted expansion slots on the backplane and that's that.
So what I need to know is...:
Is there a mainboard made out there that doesn't have those mounted connectors? a "rack-mounted" mainboard perhaps?
If anyone has any info or an idea that could help, I'd be most happy to hear it....
Thanks!
Bill
