I am looking to replace the motherboard on my HP Envy C115xt all in one and need to know what is

compatible or the form factor. Can you help?? My current motherboard is toast. I'm told it is because of running Windows 10 which damaged the bios.

Not to be rude, but you might want to take your PC to a local PC repair shop and let them diagnose what the problem is, or contact HP technical support. Windows 10 does not damage the motherboard BIOS. Since your PC is a AIO variety, it likely uses a very specific sized OEM main board.

OP sounds a bit bot-ish to me...

PC repair shop is likely going to upcharge any work on an AIO, which is why I don't recommend AIO's to begin with.

Took it to repair shop, also found new board, from china. Out of production is why I want to upgrade.Would like to find a new board from similar machine, by HP. Any Ideas?

You would probably have to ask HP that. The AIO computers are a very different beast fixing than replacing a standard ATX,mATX, or even iTX motherboard.

Very unlikely you'll find a full platform upgrade for an AIO. Just doesn't happen. Get a replacement board, if that's truly the problem, and count yourself lucky if you can find a functional one.

Oh, windows 10 doesn't damage the bios...

I have read on an HP forum that many people have had problems with Windows 10 on this machine. One way to fix it was to reset or clear the cmos, but anyone who did not go back to Windows 8.1 would continue to have this problem. can any one explain that?
Here is a link to one of the threads.

Where's the link.

And I will add this. Manufacturers like HP will not put out updated BIOS for older machines just to support new OS's, and in many cases simply stop fixing problems after a couple years. They plan for you to buy a new one.

If you want longevity, build your own, so there's no proprietary components.

The shop diagnosed the memory slots to be bad. They said Win 10 isn't the problem. Getting a new motherboard. I'll report back next week after it's fixed.
