Motherboard upgrade

I'm GUESSING no. Because WIN XP is installed on your Hard drive. Therefore the memory is put there, not your mobo.
 
... what memory ? ... the registry is confused because of the new USB , LAN , sound and other MB devices ... hence it's a no boot ... WinXP thinks the registry is corrupt
