would like to know if any members have an amd cpu, duron or athlon, for board testing. had gotten a board in a trade and it wasn't posting. instead of leaving everything in the case, i took just the mobo/cpu to the tech school instuctor to find out why it wouldn't post. instead of putting the stuff in a case, he just sits it in a desktop case. mind you, its not fitting in the case. long story short, after powering it on twice to check the wiring sequence, the third time something smelled burning and he unplugged it. needless to say the cpu is fried. so now i don't know if the board is good or not. any helpful answers or suggestion is much appriecated.
