Hi all this is my first post here =),

I'm still using amd athlon 64 3500+, socket 939 (Venice i think) and iIalthough the feedback on intel's new CPU has been quite tempting... I feel that I should wait for more mature motherboards...

However, I am atm having a trouble with my video card which I use to play games with. Fan is dead.... overheat every now and then and locks up the pc requiring a restart. It's a 9800xt 256mb, a bit old hehehe.

I recently purchased 2 Forsa Nvidia 7800GTX 256MB and it's coming in PCI-E. The problem is my current motherboard is AGP....

So please can anyone help by letting me know which motherboard is :
Nvidia Nforce 4 SLi based with SATA and 2xPCI-e 16x support for socket 939 AMD that is NOT too expensive(as this is temporary upgrade until conroe), but good enough to play 3D games with. Budget is 100-150AUD (75-115 USD). I have looked at several but I don't know which one to pick

Helps are much appreciated ;)

ASUS A8N32-SLI deluxe-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131568-$170
ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131517-$110
DFI Infinity Nforce 4 Sli-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136164-$90
So i guess the A8N-SLI and the DFI infinity would fit in ur price range.Out of the 2 i'd go with the A8N-SLI.
P.S
Off topic-u should really have got 2 7900 gts instead of 2 7800 gtxs.7900 gt+overclocking headroom+less power consumption=7800 gtx. But since u bought there isn't much that can be done.Enjoy anyway.

Hi hardwareking, thank you for the reply =)

What is the reason I should choose ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe over DFI Infinity Nforce 4 Sli?

What about MSI K8N Diamond? Or ABIT KN8 SLI? Or GIGABYTE GA-K8N PRO-SLI are they any good or do you think I should put them out from the list?

Thanks for your recommendation on 7900gts, I'd pay more attention next time =)

I second the A8N-SLI deluxe, I've been running one for 18mos and it's a great board. It was the first NF4 SLI board released in 11/04 and is now a very mature stable board, and it also overclocks well

the A8N-SLI is more feature rich compared to the DFI infinity. The boards u mentioned are good too.But this by far the most popular board.Just check newegg.Over 700 people have bought this. What more could u want.(other than an A8N32-SLI)
if the ASUS model isn't available in ur region. The gigabyte model u specified would do just as good.
