It could be hanging trying to identify a piece of hardware. Is there anything in Windows Device Manager that is not functioning correctly? Usually IDE devices (old hard drives or CD-ROMs) cause this.

You can use whats called a POST card to see what point in the boot process is hanging and look it up on line.

Has the board always done this? If not, have you made any recent hardware changes? Are you overclocked? Have you tried adjusting your memory timings?

Sorry, I didn't know that you couldn't get into Windows.

You might try unplugging everything except for the CPU, RAM and video card. If it works okay then try plugging everything back in one thing at a time, until the problem occurs. That may pinpoint it.

They sell POST cards on ebay (that's where I bought mine). There are currenty about a dozen available, linked HERE. Make sure to get the PCI version, as your board has no ISA slot.
