Im tossing in a new MB into my server (my MB died in there after a brown out)
Regardless, the 2 motherboards are newly identical... NEW vs. Old

Anyone have suggestions in doing this? I really dont want to redo my OS as its quite specific and a billion things to reisntall adjust/tweak etc etc...

Im really not expecting too big of a issue though as the boards are near dead on.

Win2K Pro

Thanks

If the two boards are both nForce2 (your second link isn't taking me to anything in particular) then Win2k Pro should take it in stride with perhaps some new device detections after it hits the desktop. I've replaced an nForce "classic" board with nForce2 and Windows said "huh, how about that" and worked anyway. So give it a try :)

He beat me to it. What else is new? ;)

This is the route I'm going when I do my mobo swap. 8RDA+ V1.0 to a NF7-S V2.0. One's original NF2, the other is the newer NF2400 Ultra. Same chipset, essentially.

I'll backup everything and give it a shot. If it doesnt' work, then I'll have something to do for the next four hours. :D

yeah both NF2... sorry about 2nd link. You guys pretty much reaffirmed what I was thinking from the get-go. I just needed to "confirm" my suspicions.

Thanks...
