I will be getting a new computer with a 1.4ghz Tbird sometime in August, and I was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions. I was originally leaning torwards a KT133A based board, but I've heard of lots of problems with the SBLive! and 686B. I am using a KT133 board right now and I have experienced problems in games with it, although they are few and far between. I also believe its the fault of the game, for example Deus Ex crashes when loading a map but no other game does. Anyways, I then started looking for other boards, including DDR solutions, but I don't have much experience with this. Which motherboard is the best? Which motherboard is not necessarily the best, but the most stable? Have you actually used the motherboard you recommend? My last question, are there any new technologies coming out that would make me want to hold off on getting a new comp, or will an Athlon 1.4ghz Tbird last me a good while?

As far as the soundblaster live! i have an abit kt7 raid that has no problem with the SBL and a MSI k7t pro 2a that did have a problem i was losing data on my hard drive but the new 4in1's from via seem to have fixed that, so i wouldn't worry too much about that. Just make sure as always you are running the latest drivers and bios and you should have no problems.
