Motherboard standoffs, its really not that difficult!

I made the mistake of misplacing my lian li motherboard standoffs and need some more. This case doesnt use lian li's usual sheet metal standoffs but the screw in type. But this is where things got nutty for me today. The male part of the standoff is M3 threaded. The popular screw in type standoff is 6-32. I could not for the life of me find the proper standoffs. It seems that no one in the city of Las Vegas knew what I was talking about. They all told me that the screw in standoffs are all the same! I started in the computer industry back in 97 and know for a fact that they make fine thread standoffs. I even have 3 of them in my motherboard tray to prove it! I know I'm not the only one that has seen these standoffs.

Anyone else seen them? Anyone in Las Vegas have 3-4 of them that I can take from them?

How about ust getting a 6-32 tap and re-thread the mounting holes? It's cheaper and more popular.

Trust me, the thought crossed my head. I just couldnt bring myself to do it.

I did, however, find my bag of standoffs today. They were pushed under my keyboard. The same keyboard that I ordered new standoffs from 🙂
