Hey guys. I have an AsusA8N-SLI mohterboard. It also uses the nforce4 chipset. I take it that my motherboard has it's sound built in. But so does the chipset? What sound should I be using? The motherboards or the nforce4 sound? Am I clueless here?

See if the included CD has separate audio drivers, or download latest from Asus web site.

the chipset has a link to the Realtek codec.
You can use either the Realtek or nVidia audio drivers but afaik it still all uses the same hardware.

The hardware is two-piece: The chipset has the engine, which connects to the CODEC chip - a separate entity in a quiet corner of the board.
