Good Day;

Got a defective mobo and am about to ship it to service center when they give the go ahead. Since I removing everything from the motherboard including the CPU. I can't find the protective plastic which I removed after after installing the CPU in the first place. What shall I do?

I am concerned that the while shipping or unpacking the pins will get damaged.

Regards;

Use your cell phone to take pictures of the motherboard and lots and lots of pictures of the cpu socket and pins to prove they are not damaged before shipping.That is the first thing Asus does to get around fixing your motherboard.Thats is a nice little scam they have going to charge you for fixing your motherboard.

It seems so, I was in contact with Asus service center for three weeks where I began my second message with them I informed them that I will ship it to the US branch for warranty repair/replacement and after that messsage it was just one generic reply after another that does not help. At the end I began suspecting that I was either talking to a poorly designed automated machine or a professional troll. In the last mail that I asked the support agent are you from the US division and he replied no. So he just wasted my time for nothing. Now I contacted the US division and awaiting their reply.

I have tried Gigabyte service center before and they are good.

Thanks for the offer I went to purchase a 10 port switch from the local store and they were kind enough to offer the protective plastic when I asked.
